General Shale Receives Most Recognition in History of BIA Awards
The 2021 Brick in Architecture competition results are in and General Shale was recognized not once…but eight times! This is the most recognition General Shale has received in the history of the competition, which is regarded as one of the most prestigious architectural award programs in the United States and the nation’s premiere architectural award featuring clay brick.
General Shale’s presence in the architectural market is growing rapidly, especially with our strategic acquisition of plants across the U.S. equipped to provide the aesthetic detail and specifications sought out by architects and designers. As the new leading brick manufacturer, we believe it is our duty to lead the way in promoting brick as a desirable, solutions-oriented material for both residential and architectural projects.
The following Brick in Architecture awards are a testament to our continued effort to increase General Shale’s wall share, especially in markets where architectural construction is prevalent and there is demand for sustainable, versatile materials. Additionally, they cast a positive light on the industry as a whole by showcasing brick as a staple in modern architecture.
